SUPERB work Dwarf Lord of Ered Luin! :yay:

Durburz looks excellent, the Barrow Wight's base is great and I like the addition of the red shield to the Cave Troll's base.
Can't wait for the next update! 8)

Thank you all for your compliments. Here are the updates. I'm a lot happier with Durburz's skin but it could be better, and the yellow blotch on the helmet needs to go. The right eye is also horrible. Any ideas as to how to fix up the skin and maybe the eye?

And here is my next project. I'm appalled with the paint job on my rangers so I'm going to fix them. I'll do them two at a time in order to get myself to do a better job. The warriors are next and then maybe the goblins :o , but that will be in quite a while.

Durburz's skin doesn't look that bad, perhaps wash it with a brown colour and then re-highlight. I wouldn't do too much though, it looks pretty good already. 8)

Thank you. I will leave the skin alone, I often try too hard to achieve perfection and will keep going at something like that for too long so sometimes I just need to stop.
And here is an update of the rangers. I've done the browns and flesh. They turned out quite well, though I will need to do a little fixing up later. I'm really enjoying the rate at which I'm doing these. I've often tried to get through warriors as quickly as possible so that they will be ready for gaming but his way I have time to enjoy the details and get them all done well, and I still have enough for my battles.

Nice work so far but I think the flesh could do with another highlight.

Here are updates on the barrow wight. I went with blue this time. I've finished up the blue and will proceed to paint the hands, I think green, and work on the base. Comments and Criticisms would be appreciated.

Barrow white is looking fabulous! Green hands sounds like an interesting idea.

Do you think the blue may need another highlight? I personally would, but its completely p to you.

keep it up!

Thank you for all you comments. I've gotten a little further. I was able to photograph it in the sunlight today so the blue looks quite different. I'd like to know what you think about the hands. I can't decide it it's right, needs to be lighter, or not the right colour.

The base is great.
With the hands, maybe if the shadows in them were darker, but the highlights are fine. So between the fingers would be better darker is what I'm saying.

Wow. Great base! Really liking the moss/mould/fungi effect (whatever the green stuff is on the tiles)

The miniature is looking great. I really like it, though IMO the green is too strong of a contrast.

I'm glad you like the base. I decided to take your suggestions and add another highlight. I added another highlight to the hands as well to try to reduce the contrast. It has been interesting taking the pictures outdoor as the colours are better though the brightness has been a small problem.

Thank you for your compliments. God blessed me greatly in my work on the barrow wight. I've gotten further on the rangers. Please leave comments and criticisms. Excuse the dust but they were left outside for several days when the pollution ranged between 147 and 170 ppm.

I've started taking pictures outside as many have said that it more accurately portrays the mini. It has been helpful but I'm just starting so any advice related to that would also be helpful.

Try to paint black lines beetwen two colors.
Read about it here
http://www.chestofcolors.com/cofc-postnuke/index.php?module=pnEncyclopedia&func=display_term&id=3&vid=

IMO it will do a lot to make your rangers looks better.
Keep on painitng!
