Or you could edit the photos and adjust the brightness

The original photo has to be decent for that to have much of an effect.

You are taking the photos with the light coming from behind the mini (a window, I guess?). The light should be facing the mini.

You could, but make sure the bulb is not too orangey as to discolour the pic.

As has been said before, I love Gandalf's hair and robes. The highlighting on the hair is very good, it has a lot of depth to it. The staff is also very nice.

Now, get working on some Hobbits.

Too bad for the quality of the pic, but from what I can see, the highlights look pretty good! Especially the face and the robes look like they're very well done!

Hope to see some better pics soon! Keep it up mate!

well im not realy someone you wanna be asking but i can tell you how i do mine
first you take a picture with a lamp shining on it . . . then look at where the light reflects on the sword and you paint it the same as that.
the colours i used were around three parts codex grey and 1 and a half chaos black . . . the just keep adding around two parts white for a lighter highlight you need at least 7 or 8 layers for it to look smooth.
thats how i paint it
FoF :-D

I like the look of the cloak, as far as I can tell. The pictures really make it a bit hard to see though...
