That's a great looking high elf jazz soloist. And I adore the dwarf captain.

(Someone once commented that a jazz band sounded like a blues band being thrown down a metal fire escape.)

PROJECT X! :D
Here's Dain (project x) whom I started a very long time ago :-D

The nearly finished green:

The finished model:

(the cloak is a bit yuk... I'm not sure how it got like that  )

As you can probably see, he is a thoroughly stripped down MoM Gimli with new clothes, beard and armour. He's meant to be Dain Ironfoot but I quite fancy using him as a Durin proxy too.

Vault wardens are finished too! :D

C&C most welcome
Thanks for reading :-D

P.S. I havent forgotten about the balrog  I'm still adding various layers to him :)

P.P.S sorry about the large post

Just wanted to see how amazing a job I thinl you have done on that dwarfy. Lobelia is spectacular of course.

And I must say, that is one of the most interesting and cobtraverial Balrogs I have ever seen.

:D

Balin has long been one of my favourite models and the journey in the dark has always been my favourite part of the the fellowship of the ring book, so I was very pleased to paint him and I found him a great model with loads of detail. Anyway, pictures:

That shield on your dwarf army! The sheer thinness of those lines, and the detail! Truly epic! The others are very good too, but the shield-dwarf trumps them all.
