hi guys me again

as i mentioned in my 'new here' topic i have created three possessed uruk-hai.

Heres some pictures of them Image
Image

I know they aren't as good as some of the conversions that ive seen on here but there okay. I also made a profile for it.

Possessed worker - 25 pts

f s d a w c
5 5 4 2 1* 6

Special rules:

Terror
Rooted: calvalry models do not get their extra attack or knock to the ground special ability when charging possessed workers.
* 2nd spirit: When a possessed worker is killed on the roll of a 6 they recover one wound.

please say whether the points value for this is correct and any other opinions.

thanks[/img]

Wow! Great to see some of your work already :)

Very creepy looking fellows, they look like nothing I've seen here. I especially like the skeletal additions on the branches.

For their rules, I would personally make them 'spirits', give them the special rule 'Terror' and a profile similar to this

Points cost: 30

F 4
S 4
D 5
A 1
W 2
C 3

Special rules - Twisted Evil: The branches and roots around them become possessed, therefore all good models within 3" of a Possessed Worker suffer -1 on their roll to win a Fight. This is cumulative with other penalties.

Rooted: These evil spirits are able to draw the very roots of trees out from the ground. Calvalry models do not get their extra attack or knock to the ground special ability when charging Possessed Workers. Additionally these models received +1 to wound against Ents.

What do you think?

I like the idea and the conversions!
I think your points value is alright, but I agree with lorderkenbrand on some stat changes and rules. However, they're extremely cheap for what they do in the second profile: You can field four of those instead of one shade, and get double the range of the -1 rolling. Not to mention that they have better stats besides defense and wounds, and +1 wounding to elves. That's huge.

Here's my suggestion and why- maybe you can draw something from it.
F 4- They may be possessed, but they are, after all, Uruk workers.
S 5- I imagine they're a bit stronger than their brethren because their arms are branches and they are possessed, so I imagine they don't fatigue easily.
D 5- I imagine the possessed thing acts like a berserker with the mind-over-matter ignoring pain. Again, though, it's only a worker.
A 2- Makes enough sense to me.
W 1* - I like this idea, you should keep thing
C 6- Seems like a good courage value for someone possessed, but not quite frenzied like a berserker.

Special rules
Terror
* 2nd spirit

Rooted- The twisted branches melded with the possessed worker dig into the ground, making it very hard to move them. Cavalry models do not gain the extra attack or knock to the ground bonus when charging a possessed worker. They are also immune to the effects of the "Nature's Wrath" magical power.
However, because these branches make it difficult to move, a possessed worker only moves up to 4" per turn and makes jumping tests with a -1 penalty.

I'm thinking this is about 25-30 points, too. Let me know what you think.
Love the idea!

I like your stats for it. But IMO it should just have 2 wounds for more points and also maybe should be a hero? But with no might/will/fate. Or just an expensive warrior.
Also I think the rule to do with roots is so it cannot be knocked down, so can't be trapped or the cavalry bonus. And a bit extra against sorcerous blasts.

thanks for the replys i like general haars stats a lot and as for points value i tried one of them out against two elves and three elves. it beat the two elves but lost to the three elves but this doesn't take in the fact of rooted, so i think 3o points is good for general haars stats.

Sounds like a good idea.
Maybe you could make a WIP thread and then put on the finished models, that would be great.
