So, let 1 be good, and 2 and 3 be evil. The line is the barrier.

3 is touching 1, and 2 and 1 are engaged across the barrier. Does evil retain barrier bonuses, but rolling for in the way hits does not apply to 3, only 2? Evil still wins ties, correct?

When a model is charged from both sides of a barrier looses the protection the barrier provides.
Rules Manual pag. 50

Sorry for the ambiguity. Model 2 was defending, 1 was attacking, but 1 was also charged by 3. It is a 2v1 combat, but only one of the larger side is defending a barrier.

If you look at the last paragraph of page 50 in the main rule book (English version) it actually set out how to handle the situation you've got now. The barrier is ignored and the fight is handled like a normal 2v1 fight.
