 Post subject: Guard of the Fountain Court, why the extra defense?

The guard of the fountain court has always had an extra point of defense over other Gondorians. Why is this? Are they tougher?

Their equipment entry states "The base profile for a Guard includes intricately crafted heavy armor..." Is this armor the reason for the extra defense?

Their helmets were laced with Mithril.

hithero is correct, their armor ( Or at least their helms) are made of Mithril, which acounts for the higher defense. :)
