Hi, been away for months and months, and I'm not sure I can wade through thousands of messages... :)

Noticed a few new things popping up at the GW site. Smaug looks pretty great, but at $600 there's no way. Also noticed the new mirkwood elves, which puts all those wood elves I lovingly painted ages ago to shame.

Anyway, was wondering if somebody could summarize for me:

1) Seems like all the new stuff is resin, no more plastic? Is that something official?
2) I'm sure there are rules/profiles for all the new models, but I haven't seen mention of a rulebook coming, have I missed something? Or do they include the rules in the product box?
3) Is Smaug supposed to be playable, or just a diorama piece?

Thanks, and I hope everybody's been keeping well.

1) it's all the new resin replacing fine cast
2) it will be in a special release in next Saturdays white dwarf (the rules will be a bonus magazine)
3) Smaug will have released stats

Nice to see you back. I hope everything is ok. I do not keep up with official rules as well as some. There will be a supplement in next weeks WD#46 I think. I would be speculating about the plastic. There is a rumor about rule books. I hope we will find out something soon.

Thanks all. I'll probably head to my GW soon then to pick up the magazine.

Appreciate the welcome-backs, and hope you're all doing well :)
Unfortunately since my son grew up and moved away my chances for games has waned and so has my interest. Plus, I'm just not as enamoured with the Hobbit movies as I was with LotR. So I probably won't be around much. Alan should revoke my wraith status :)

Anyway, be well!
