Hi,

When I started playing LotR:SBG, I purchased the MoM box, rather than the one rulebook. While I like the generic scenarios and boat rules in the larger book, this content has never been enough to justify the purchase of the larger book.

Have the generic scenarios and the boat rules ever been printed in other LotR supplements, and if so, which ones?

Legions of Middle-earth is your best bet as that has 10? generic scenarios, terrain deployment and more, does not contain the hardback scenarios though. You could also download the GT doubles rulepack from CW site for a few more.

Legions of Middle-earth has 12 scenarios, all good fun.

I definitely suggest you or someone else in your group get LoME for the scenarios. Just playing to-the-death style games all the time is going to get boring as it really leads to certain types of lists dominating others. But when you roll for a random scenario before playing and that could be anything from Contest of Champions, Reconnoiter, Seize the Prize, To the Death of many other interesting ideas then you really have to come prepared with well rounded lists. This promotes more variety in armies or else gives a chance to forces that wouldn't otherwise have much at times.
