So i was told heros don't count for the 33% max bows rule but do banner bearer?

Yeh, the classifcation on their website is a bit wierd. I am pretty sure they do count towards your bow limit.

I thought a model (except Halbarad) can't use a bow if he's got a banner...

That's right. It cannot use any other kind of weapon. Even if a bow equipped model picks up the banner, it loses the bow when it does. Banner Bearers fight as if they were carrying a two-handed weapon (but unfortunately without the wounding bonus).

But I think what is said here is that he counts towards the denominator when calculating percentage of ranged weapons.

It shouldn't count, as a Banner equipped model can't have any other kind of weapon. So he can't have a bow to count toward the limit.

That wasn't the question :roll: The question was whether you count the banner model when calculating the bow limit, as opposed to heroes who are not counted.
