My first question is what kind of bow do dwarf rangers carry? I've seen bow, longbow, and dwarf bow from various sources. I've never used rangers in a game, but I would like to because I really like the models.

My second question is how much does it cost to give a rohan outrider a horse? I know that we're not supposed to post model profiles and points, but I wasn't sure if that applied to a single piece of equipment that you could give a model.

Thanks for any replies in advance.

IIRC, Dwarf bows are Str 3, but have short range like an Orc bow. Dwarf longbows are Str 2, but have long range like a normal bow.

I don't think there is a fixed cost like there is for other equipment...however, I have never seen the cost be different :) So if you can find another profile which gives a horse option to a rider, such as Rohan Royal Guard, you can safely use that point cost for an Outrider.

Correct. But just to be confusing they're called "Dwarf Longbows". They still have the sames rules as normal bows though (range 24in, strength 2).

It's like with Longbows (the ones the Citadel Guard use). They're exactly the same as Elf Bows, just with a different name. Does that mean Longbows and Elf Bows or Dwarf Longbows and Bows can't volley fire together?

I don't have by sourcebook in front of me, but I'm pretty sure they come with their horses as part of their basic equipment.

I'm pretty sure this was in an FAQ. I think it said you can volley fire a Citadel Guard longbow with an Elf Bow.

I hate to be a pain but a believe that dwarf longbows are exactly the same as normal bows, strength 2 range 24". Correct me if I'm wrong.

But it sounded like he said that dwarf longbows were exactly the same as longbows and elfbows.

Nope, he said Dwarf Longbows were the same as normal bows. Where as te longbows of the Citadel Guard are the same as an Elf Bow.
