Apologies if this isn't in the right place. I've noted there are a few of us with pictures on CMON and was thinking we can help each other with votes. So we can all post our links in one thread and then it is easier for everyone to help out. Here's mine, thanks in advance EDIT: Great idea Mally. I have not been on CMON in a while. I had some pictures on there once. I think my cave drake did well on there. Maybe I will check it out later and see what is up. What would help is if everyone used the same tags in every picture they put up, then whenever you go on CMON and do a gallery search you can search for "one ring" and find all the pictures our family has put up. It is hard to search for every army, creature, and other tag id that can be thought of to find various LOTR/Hobbit models. For example if you post a picture of Aragorn, you might use tags, LOTR, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Aragorn, Gondor, Ranger, Minas Tirith... And then just make the last tag ORmember and that will be a one ring code to find them all fast. |

Voted. I blew the comments though. I had not been on there for so long that I didn't recognize my own avatar pic, so I thought my comments didn't show then made new ones. I also was not sure about the votes, there is the column on the side with 1-10 but then in the comment section if you make a comment it posts a rating with it... are both counted as votes? I hope not as I forgot to change the rating the second time I made comments. either way I voted. Best of luck. |

I had one model with an 8.1 average at one time and was invited to be in that catalog of who's who on Coolminiornot. I unfortunately forgot to submit high res photo's at that time. but regardless, I think that coolminiornot is the best site for inspiration and to see beautiful mini's from every class. I did vote on some more models last time I went on. |

I was asked to submit some pics for the 2012 cmon annual but the images i supplied were too small  I have not made the same mistake this time around and have supplied high res pictures for the 2013 annual. |

Good idea to stay on top of it. I know I got lucky with my 8.1 (the bare minimum to be accepted lol) I definitely am not an 8 average painter on Collminiornot, 6, 6.5 maybe. There is just so much great work on there. I find it very hard to vote for people's work. it's like you check out white rabbit for even a moment http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img4fbe885e21a52.jpg and after that you look at a lord of the rings model, even one painted very well... and you are supposed to kind of create a scale in your head.. You may see what I mean... hard to hand out tens to my fellow Hobbit hobbyists after peeping that stuff. |

28mm scale makes it almost impossible to keep up with the standard of some of those guys, they tend to paint larger scale. That aside they are phenomenal painters, quiet simply beyond belief. They do very little LOTR stuff which is a shame, it would provide one hell of a comparison for us lesser mortals. My hope is to break into the top 500 on CMON. I am currently 2847, it will be hard, maybe too hard for me but you have to have a goal and I think once I work out how to put multiple photos on my chances will improve. |
