Fantastic Migsy, really fantastic!
What colours have you used for the skin?

Any chance you could snap a shot of her looking into her eyes? I'd love to see how you did her face... :)

The flesh is a tricky one. It has Dwarf Flesh as a base but I mixed in Skull White and Lemon Yellow (VMC). I added more white to it for each highlight, adding a tiny bit of the yellow to keep the intensity (if you add simply white it will wash the colour away). To shade I added orange, red and some of the pink stuff I had in the pallete. There were also some glazes with orange along the way.

Here's a close-up of the face.

The gore is just regular Uhu universal glue with red ink, and a coat or two of gloss with follow to harden it.

Anyway, Rapunzel is not finished but I already started Red Riding Hood. :D

Fantastic painting Mac.
I sense a bit of friendly competition betwixt MacG and TBB, a sort of painting/basing babefest. Who are we to dissuade these pigmentalists from their earnest endeavours when it produces such astounding results?

That's my contribution to new English: pigmentalists. People who are talented painters... and may also be a bit mental :P

Fantastic work again Migsy! Love the transculence and the skintones you come up with!!

@ Dorth, nah, no competition... a Mac like this is always a winner anyway ;)
(although it does indeed encourage me to go a little further than I'm used to... so not a bad thing at all! :D )

Keep 'em coming MacMiggles!

Aha! Bart, very funny. :P There is no competition at all and while we are all having fun and painting minis everyone is a winner.

Anyway, I think I'm done with this one too.

Silflor tufts Mac? Or something similar? You always manage nice little finishing touches. Ah, eye-candy.

Thanks guys!

The base has very simple stuff. Some birds sand with some small rocks, painted in different browns and greys, and then covered with some brown pigments for the ground.
The ground cover is just dried oregano leaves and some tiny bits of Woodland Scenics foliage, some of it painted in red tones.
The grass is actually just GW Middenland Grass Tufts. I dont really like the product that much, as I find it too transparent and artificial looking, so I just paint it with browns, yellows or greens, depending on the project in hand.

I have this one pretty much done for a few weeks now... just realised I never posted it in here.

Here's Puss in Boots (wild west style :D) from the same 32mm series of the other fairy tales miniatures I've been painting latelly. From Tales of War.

Lemme see... Snow White (+1 Dwarf), Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, Captain Hook (+ Tic Tac), Cinderella and I think thats it for now.

I do have Conan, Leonidas and some other Spartan from 300, a bunch of pirates and a Kratos, God of War from the same brand though, all with this very cartoony look.

So, as we are in Halloween season, I picked Luna Ardiente or, as I like to call her, the Evil Witch to paint next. Again, 32mm from Tales of War.

Hope to have it finished by the end of the month.
