Just posting to get some opinions on my 400pt school league list. The main difference between school league and normal games is that you can have 1 named hero OR two unnamed heroes in total costing no more that 150pts. When i get 2 more KoMT painted up im going to switch them with the citadel guard. At the moment im going to be playing uruk-hai but maybe goblins as well.

Anyway here is the list:
400pts Gondor List

King of Men 85
Heavy Armour
Shield
Lance
Horse

2 Knights of Minas Tirith 28
Shields

21 Warriors of Minas Tirith 202
20x Shields
10x Spears
Banner

7 Rangers of Gondor 56

3 Citadel Guard 27

Total: 398

At first glance it looks like a good list, however I would change a one thing.

1. I don't think its worth taking the Knights if there are only going to be 2 of them, if they are bodyguarding the King that eliminates the need for the Citadel Guard really; because if you are using them to add some muscle, 3 won't really do much. I would get rid of one group to add to the other group, obviously if you get rid of the Kinights then I would also take the King off the horse.

I don't think that's legal with the rangers in as they come from a different army list and you only have one hero. OK, so your knights are going to swap for the guards. Haven't got anything to criticise, really. Hoping to face you at the school league!

i dont think that there is any point in only having only 2 Knights of Minas Tirith and king of men on horse

i would take some warriors out and put in some Knights of Minas Tirith

The list is perfectly legal, cause it is the "Minas-Tirith" list...

Although i do agree that Knights should be lost...

He's swapping out the guards for 2 more if you read the thread properly . I thought rangers only came in the Gondor army list, Ithilien.

Oh my bad. Well they do, but rangers also are in "Minas Tirith" army list which represents it´s past self... All Gondor units are mixed in this one list (except some special ones e.g Osgiliath Veterans) and they have a King option so it´s quite cool

I'm not sure you need the banner: Gondorians tend to have lots of spears, and there Fight isn't particularly impressive so a re-roll isn't an awful lot.

What would you suggest i swap the banner for?

I played a game against uruk-hai today and won, but only slimly. 6 of the rangers piled into 1 beserker and only just managed to kill him despite rolling 12 dice......i only got one six. Any other things i should add in. I also have a decent sized dwarf army so i can add in some off them if you think i should (ive got a captain, banner, six iron guard, 24 rangers and 24 warriors).

Maybe saw the banner for a couple more Knights? Then you'll have enough for them to be effective.

That could just work. Ill have a go at play testing some different options and see how it goes.

This list gives you 11 bows for volley, 1 str 3 bow, all fight 4 (with Faramir still alive) and a 15 men spear support along with 5 might all for exactly 400 pts. Besides Faramir has D 7 so evil arrows wound on a 6/4

A total of 33 f4 models at 400 pts with max bow and d 6 frontline is unbelievable
