Hi all!

Got an idea to make an army which chases Thorins company as they escape from the Misty Mountains (in book).

So, first thoughts of mine:

Thematic reasons
So, the idea is to have (of course) goblins, both from Goblin Town and Moria lists. Then Fell Wargs for the guys who chased Thorins Co. to trees.

Ok, then I wanted to make it competitive:
Spider Queen + Druzhag = awesomeness!
Took also Goblin king (I know he dead at this point of story)
Some Giant Spiders and Cave trolls and Warg Marauder.

So, here is the list. I have to add something, so advice is needed.

Moria

WB1 7/12
Druzhag
1 Warg Marauder
4 Giant Spiders
2 Cave Trolls

WB2 12/12
Goblin Shaman
12 Moria Goblins w/ Shield

WB3 12/12
Goblin Shaman
12 Moria Goblins w/ Spear

Goblin Town

WB4 12/12
Goblin King
12 Goblin Warriors

WB5 12/12
Goblin Scribe
12 Goblin Warriors

WB6 12/12
Grinnah
12 Goblin Warriors

WB7 12/12
Goblin Captain
12 Goblin Warriors

WB8 12/12
Goblin Captain
12 Goblin Warriors

WB9 12/12
Goblin Captain
12 Goblin Warriors

WB10
Gollum (I really like him so he is must)

Dark Denizens of Mirkwood

WB 12/12
Spider Queen
12 Fell Wargs

1436 pts
126 models
Breakpoint: 63
This list has numbers: lots of Goblins
This list has heavy-hitters: Cave Trolls, Spiders, Spider Queen and Warg Marauder
This list has fast guys: Fell Wargs, Warg Marauder, Spiders and Spider Queen.

Final thoughts:
6 warbands of goblins because I like them very much and its easy to buy them as I have EftGT box which includes 36 Goblins and I only have to buy 2 boxes.
Goblin King is dead as I mentioned, but for competitive reasons I added him because he is beast with fury. Also I want to try that sneaky tactic where Grinnah swaps with Goblin King...

Hmm, I think that was all.
Cheers!

Groblog is surely a must - means you have 2 extra might on the table. Also you have 64pts left - spend them (on Groblog perhaps)

I know I have to spend more. :) But, who is better, Durbûrz or Grôblog?
I like the special rules of them both. Iron Fist seems very good, but so does Mithril Crown.

I'd say take Groblog and Durburz with 24 Mori Goblins instead of warband 7 and 8. This should fit perfectly. Besides I think that fury only works on the moria goblins. I'm sure you find enough gt goblins on ebay so you don't have to buy the box twice.
What really is missing in my opinion are bat swarms! They are fast, have many wounds an are realy good against heros (and you don't have that much against heros). I don't know how many models good armies have at 1500 points, but it'll last at least one hour to only do one move phase with that many goblins so I would consider taking more warg marauders or one mor cave troll or a watcher if you like the model.
