If we could maybe get an idea of the amount of interest Id look into finding a community hall or something if theres enough ppl??? One night a week night be a good idea?
At the minute theres only you 2 plus me and my lad I can see in this area? I think wed need at least 8 ppl who could contribute and make it worth doing? Also be able to travel to wherever the venue would be... This could be wishfull thinking but Id be up for it. Like I said previously i have a gaming bourd plus the "Realm of Battle" board I could bring along.

This would give us the opportubnity to play a map campaign which would be cool.

I own a business and already rent a hall space on a Thursday night in the Cheadle area of Stockport (junction 2 M60)

I would be happy to have you guys down, especially since I am currently having to pay for the whole night in this facility, even though we currently use it for 2 hours moving down to 1 at the end of January (they won't charge us hourly so was considering moving). If people were chipping in, this would help me out too and make it worth staying there?

I think from the 24th January, we could certainly meet there at 7.45 (we finish at 7.30) for a couple of small games to get us started??

Thoughts?

Fantastic, so that's you and your lad...

Knighty and Gothmog? I reckon I could rope someone into the hobby too...

6 is a good start to any club :)

edit: anyone have any ideas how long a 500pt game might last on average? We can of course, go bigger... but just thinking, if we're starting at 7.45pm that gives us a few hours.

Army- Mordor, Angmar, Fallen Realms (Easterlings, Harad), Goblin Town, Hunter Orcs plus a few models from other armies - can do SBG and WotR
Transport- see below

Well with transport, I'm not sure what you mean. I could take a bus into Bolton at least and possibly get parents to give me a lift now and then, but I don't drive.

Also, I couldn't be a regular member of a gaming club just yet. I could come a couple of times in early January. Then I can come in summer, and possinly next Xmas, but not the times in between. I am half way through uni and will have to start studying again soon.

I was just hoping for a few casual games in January before I go back to uni, but it looks like that's unlikely :(

Nothing wrong with being a geek, it's liberating. Important to have things in your life which are completely separate from normal life. And therefore, relaxing! This sbg is an experiment for me but hoping it works!

Which gym in Cheadle Hashut? What do you do??

Haha it's ok, I still use satnav to find clients I've had for years!

Right so we've got

Ste
Cole
Thermo (me)
Hashut

Everynow and then Callum

Also potentially 3 or 4 from the following facebook group

http://www.facebook.com/groups/472128942815892/?ref=ts&fref=ts

I think we should start setting a first date in stone that most of us can make it to!

Looking good Thermo, keep me posted, where is the location exactly?

What is it you use the location for? Are there tables etc?

:)

Location would be the Abney Centre, up Newlands Rd in Cheadle. It's a Scout and Guide centre but I rent the Hall for an indoor circuit training and yoga class on a Thursday night.

Loads of tables and space :)
