Hello to everyone on The One Ring,

I have just recently took the plunge into The Hobbit /Lord of the rings SBG, and have decided to join this great forum due to its excellent community. My background in war gaming comes from warhammer fantasy and warhammer 40k. Though always enjoying the modeling and painting as well the background, more then playing the actual game.

While with The Hobbit /Lord of the rings SBG I’ve decided to learn the rules to hopefully play a game, in conjunction with building a small war band. This being Durin’s Folk, as the miniatures have always been my favorites since they were first released. As well being new to the game, my only point of reference to world of J.R.R.Tolkien is through the films having never read the books. This being something am rectifying currently by starting to read The Hobbit. As such thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.

Welcome to the forum mate :). I hope you find the Hobbit most enjoyable, and get hooked by Tolkien's universe as the rest of One-Ring is :).

Durin's Folk is a popular faction, and you will undoubtedly find answers to whatever inquiries you might have, or feedback you might request.
