Hi all,
I've recently got Gandalf the Grey with cart (metal :D ) but... I've no idea how to prepare the model.

Do you have any advice? Should I assemble the whole model before painting? Assemble some pieces only? Do you recommend to strengthen the pieces (with wires)?

If you have any "tutorial" or suggestion, feel free to comment below !

Thanks :)

Still haven't actually finished mine, but I certainly wouldn't assemble the whole before painting. The most practical way to go about it, I think, is to glue the cart and majestic steed together and on the base (maybe prime the bottom before attaching to the base). Easiest thing is probably to paint the cart and Gandalf seperately in their entirety, as many areas will be difficult to reach otherwise, and painting one part will easily screw up prior work on the neighbouring parts. Even the inside of the cart isn't very practical, but it is of course a simple surface and will mostly be covered by the fireworks, which too are best painted on their own, and only then added to the final piece.

As for the strength of the model, the only pieces with a limited surface area are the sides of the cart I think, and being connected at all sides should make it solid enough as is.

i done mine and it was not as bad as i thought it was going to be. i just blue tac and making sure the glue wouldn't touch the blue tac to hold it together while it dried then put the wheels on then the horse last.
