Nice workspaces everyone.

Mine couldn't be classed as a workspace as it's more of a jumbled mess at the moment. Maybe I should build something to organize and clean it up (something along the lines of Feanors workspace), then post it :P

I moved the painting and Gluing back to my office when my Nephew moved back with his mother after her deployment.
I broke my leg so it is a mess.I will get the game room in better order and post it.
Where does every one play?

Agreed! I do almost all my work in my car on lunch breaks (when I can actually step away from my desk...a couple times per week at best :( ). So my workspace consists of several containers serving various jobs. One holds about 8 companies of infantry. Another holds a single monster ( Troll / Ent ) and those hold what I'm working on (my "cav" box is currently a shoe box with the WiP models stuck to the bottom with yellow putty when being transported). From there I have multiple small boxes to hold my tasks. I have one for my paints, one for basing, one for cleaning / preparing models. I just grab the appropriate pair of boxes ( infantry + painting, or cav + basing, etc.) and throw them on the passenger seat when I head off to work. If it's a good day and I can step away for 30 - 45 minutes then I slip out, throw on an audio book / NPR / soundtrack depending on my mood, slide the drivers seat all the way back for some room to work and see what I can get thru.

On the plus side, it's a nice little mental reset for the day, and when I do get out there I'm usually painting in good natural light. :rofl: The setup also makes it fairly easy to get some painting in at home if the time ever allows. My biggest problem there is that things never look the same to me under artificial light as it does in the day. Usually things are "warmer" than I like and it's not too hard to correct. I did wind up with pink toes on my Troll once though...that was my best lesson ever in the value of natural light vs. artificial. :o

Many of those worspaces are great looking. We do have an area downstairs that is all set up for when we can put a counter in with a comfortable stool will be my in-home workspace. I'm looking forward to that so I can try to get some terrain projects going ( can't do foam work in the car! ).

Yeah that's him, I'll post some WIP in the contest page today . . . also its about time I created my own WIP page. Though I could never have your output DMS--though I wish I could.

The only reason my output is so high at the moment is I've been off work with a busted ACJ (shoulder) for the past 3 months so have all day with the kids and all night painting. Think I will be back at work in the next couple of weeks ( hope so I need the rest lol) so my output will drastically slow.

Mine is whatever table my mom lets me use, some paper towels, my paint supplies and the minis themselves.

This is what my workspace usually looks like, sometimes more messy, sometimes more tidy. The black things on the wall is electric tape btw which I stuck up there because the landlord was going to fix marks and damages in the appartment that was made during the construction of the tenement house (it's a new one) and without it I wouldn't remember all the places where things had to be painted etc. :-)

Thought I'd show you all my workspace. Not as messy as some of the others I've seen here but nowhere near as organised as most.

A overview;

And some closeups;

Current project, blu-tacked to old paintpots for easy handling, on right, planned future projects on left, paints are arranged by colour groups (some small piece of organisation). The torch is for when I (inevitably) drop the small fiddly pieces on the floor and they land under the desk.

Some sort of crafting storage unit my mum got and didn't like, I keep some unpainted metal miniatures in the top, some sprues in the middle and several hundred bases in the bottom.

Here's mine: D

The painting desk, with all the paints, tools, glues, varnishes, flow aids and all sorts of diferent mediums that I never use, etc... To the top there are a few shelves, filled with boxes, miniatures in different states of progress (most in a state of no progress at all :lol: ), magazines, books, etc.
Image Image

To the bottom there are a few drawers with all sorts of junk (literaly! :roll: ), and some more hobby stuff: spare brushes, putty, cheap acrylics, some oil paints and dry pastels, random bit's and bobs that I use for basing, flocking material, static grass, etc.
Image Image

The other side of the room has a coach (usually filled with piles of books and/or tests and school papers to grade, etc.) and more shelves with books.

Gotta love books! :D

Must get back to hobby sometime soon but there are Cunning Plans afoot.

New desk since my last shot but to me a larger workspace simply means more mess... here's my desk in dark disarray:

You know those images of WW2 bombsites? Like that, but with minis and bits instead of rubble.
