Do you find you get gifts geared towards your miniature hobby?
Yes, and I always get lots new toys 45%  45%  [ 9 ]
No, I am lucky to get anything hobby realted 30%  30%  [ 6 ]
I never really ask for anything hobby related 25%  25%  [ 5 ]

Merry Christmas all,

Another year has came and went, and I wanted to see how everyone fared hobby wise.

I am the easiest person in the world to shop for (because I have an insatiable appetite for collecting armies), but every year it is the same thing. No one know what to get me, but everyone refuses to get me anything related to the hobby.

Does anyone else find the same thing? That people almost go out of there way to avoid getting something for the hobby. Just curious, Happy holidays everyone

P.S Just as an example: this year I got 3 gift cards (2 to stores I've never been in), and a total of eleven books. The reason I am impossible is because I do not watch TV, watch very few movies, and don't play video games. I play a bunch of instruments, read, and paint miniatures. I appreciate the thought in any gift, but seriously, what am I going to do with a 50 gift card to sleep country? :)

Mine was packed full of miniatures. Aside from the complete release run, which I opened early. I got another Escape from Goblin Town Limited edition set, Hobbit case, and Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs box. I also got gift cards from GW. It was a good Christmas.

Got the Hunter Orcs, most people avoid getting me miniatures thinking I will have them already.
Pleased with the new Orcs, they are better than the pictures, really nice poses., it's great what GW can now do with plastics.

I, to my suprise and delight, got the limited edition. But overall it was about 50/50 hobby and non-hobby :)

as always...my parents decided to ignore the many requests for lotr stuff. I got the ltd ed case only because I bought that for myself :oops: lots of hobbit books though.
