Preferably by PJ
And with the same amount of detail supplied in LoTR by Weta !

But since PJ and New Line are kind of having some issues with eachother, moneywise, I don't think it'll happen

Yes! And I think it will be made sooner or later.

If made by PJ and the LOTR cast even better!

If not, I hope they, at least, have the same 'realistic look', the attention to detail, the same care on the design, etc.

there is a poll there,

i think if PJ doesn't do it then i'll be ashamed if Weta don't do it then i'll flip, without Weta and PJ it will be so poor IMO. The LotR was soooo good with all there work.

Well, I voted yes. I personally think that even if PJ doesn't do the films then who ever gets the job already has a very high mark to reach by emulating the quality that PJ produced with the LotR. So I think The Hobbit will be a good movie anyway.

A little news on the films...yes, I said films. It appears that MGM wants the story split into two parts. Here is an article below.

I can't sleep well untill the movie is made... so definately yes... it must come! Same for Silmarillion... and in fact, the whole history of middle earth!
They should also have to make a war of the ring movie, to see more battle-scenes between different races... Even if it would be in a tv series, I would be pleased!

Since LOTR catched me, I can't live a day without thinking about the story. My life turned into a fantasy-world... (and I like that a lot...)

So... definately YESSSS!!!

I doubt very much whether they would ever make a movie based on the Silmarillon, its written much like the Bible, so is a tough read for many and i dont think there is much of a market there for it.

But the Hobbit would be amazing IF and only IF they used the same actors from LOTR, and if PJ directed/had a major part in it. It must look and feel the same as LOTR, otherwise, frankly, im not interested. LOTR was almost exactly as i pictured Middle Earth, and i wouldnt want that to change.

So, yes, i definately want the Hobbit made, but it definately matters how its done.

PJ used the 2 main artist that have been painting the lotr books and scenes for the film concept sketches Alan Howe and the other guy i cant remeber. so even if PJ dont make the film i think any other director will gave alot of material like that to work from and aid them to make the film..

wow that was deep for me lol

I would pay money to see a Hobbit movie. PJ would probably be the best choice to produce/direct it as long as he didn't take any liberties with the stories like he did with TT. Seeing Smaug and the Battle of Five Armies would be pretty cool.

I don't know if I would like, but if there would made a movie it should be directed by PJ because he is the only one who cans. I think the hobbit is wrote in an other way than the lord of the rings, less difficult. Only you got the problem of trolls because the ones who are filmed in the lord of the rings are less human and more brute and less civilised, than the ones in the hobbit who can talk etc.

They should definatley make it and with Peter Jackson directing it because he is a brilliant director

The only reason i wouldnt like them to make The Hobbit is if they used different characters because then it would be stupid
