The purpose of this thread is to determine the January Paint-Off miniature. As we did a Good model in December, we will be doing an Evil model for January. I'm starting the poll early so that people will have a chance to purchase any models needed for the Paint-Off. Again, after you vote, please indicate which sculpt you choose for those characters with more than one.

This poll will run for 7 days.

I put my vote in for Saruman. :)

I am actually sculpting a shade and a Buhrdur from scratch so If one of them is chosen can I paint the one I made?

@samoht: I don't see why a custom sculpt wouldn't count. Sure, bring 'em on!

@Pasi: You are too funny. 8)

@garmenhord: That's why we're doing the vote early, so that people can have a chance to get them miniature, either buy it or make a trade. Also, remember that you don't have to paint the exact miniature that is chosen....

I voted for the Wild Warg Chieftan... however, I've been thinking about Lurtz and I would be very happy if he won as well.

A Warg Chieften would be a good addition for my army as an ally to the Goblins. I'd be happy to paint one and it would provide me with an excuse to buy a box of warg riders for some more wargs. :-D

I voted for the trolls, but really I'd be just as happy with the Warg Chieftan. I actually don't own anything on the list as of yet.

Why is everyone voting the Warg Chieftain? There is pretty much no other model like him for someone to paint instead if someone doesn't have him.

Oh well.

I don't understand the Warg Chieftain selection either, why not choose a model which actually is a bit of a challenge to paint. Its not very in depth and the majority of its only includes Drybrushing.

I think people would be better choosing say Lurtz or something like that.

That's just my opinion though,

KJ

I agree that the Warg Chieftain is primarily just drybrushing, but if it's chosen, I would probably end up painting an Orc Shaman on Warg. Other options could be Mounted Gothmog, or Sharku.

One thing about the Warg Chieftan is that his pose is so great. I've actually painted one before and he's a joy to paint. Having said that, if I could, I think I'd change my vote to Lurtz.

I don't know of any way of changing your vote, but if you want, when the poll closes, I'll take one off of the Chieftain and count it towards Lurtz.

I have voted for the ringwraith..

But if the warg chieftain wins, as it seems at this very point, does it have to be the chieftain, or will a simple warg rider work?

I voted for the ringwraith. I wish I could change it to the warg chieften though. I'll be puting together my order list soon so....

...when will the mini be decided and the voting finish?

As for posting pictures, this might help - http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13053

If not I'm sure posting it in your gallery and linking to it will suffice but you'll need to get the thumbs up from Erunion first.

@Garmenhord -- Jake's (Red Corsairs) thread about how to post pictures should help get you on track. It would be best if you set up an account like that, rather than linking to the personal gallery, as the galleries are supposed to be a showcase for finished minis, rather than WiPs.

@Soronúmë -- Yes, anything Warg-related would do nicely if the Chieftain wins.

@TDoM -- This poll was set to run for 7 days, so it will wrap up on Wednesday.
