I worked through another War in Rohan scenario, Warg Attack. Can the Rohirrim avenge Éomer's ignominious defeat near Fangorn? Drop by if you'd like to see.

This is another excellent report with some great photos! I really like that version of Theoden that you used in this scenario. It was appropriate for the scenario and the sculpt is a simple but heroic version of him, if you know what I mean. I wonder if the evil player is more devious how this game would go but I liked how your version played out. It fit the movies pretty well and after Hama's heroic sacrifice, he had to be avenged! :)

Thanks, Kuribo. I really like all the models used in this scenario.

The plastic Warg Riders are maybe the weakest sculpts, but on the other hand if you don't glue down the riders then you can use the wargs standalone or as Warg Riders, which is impossible (or at least very difficult :) ) to do with the excellent metal versions.

Theoden, Sharku, Aragorn, Legolas with and without Gimli, Gamling ... those are all great.

I even really like the plastic Riders of Rohan, which I see come in for some criticism based on their age. And hey, if GW offers up new versions, I'm getting them. But these old models have variety of weaponry and poses, the detail is still pretty good, and they look great on the table.

"rule of cool and all" - great phrase!

I agree, still like the old riders of rohan.
