I finished another play-through from the new Scouring of the Shire book, this time Maggot's Farm:

Nice playthrough of what seems like a fun scenario! It has me itching for also playing through these Scouring of the Shire scenarios, though currently I'm still focused on the Lord of the Rings campaign and it'd require a lot of hobbying in terms of painting and building terrain in order to play the Shire scenarios.

So reading about someone else playing them is the next best thing. :)

I like low figure scenarios that are enjoyable and thematic, nice job!

It is fantastic to see another battle report so soon, Dave! I know you played this one in the past and I'm really pleased to see that this scenario has been improved in your opinion. I was starting to get nervous when I read your battle reports because I'm scared these scenarios may not be worth the ridiculous amounts of hobby time I will probably sink into them in the near future but that is obviously not a concern here!

I really liked your board and terrain as I think it really brings Maggot's Farm to life as well. Keep the reports coming as they are a blast to read!

Thanks, Kuribo! I don't think you need to be concerned about the scenarios. Sure, not all of them are gems, but most of them seem to be average or better and as long as you're enjoying yourself -- as I am! -- it's hardly wasted time.

And maybe you'll get different results than me. It would be shocking if you didn't, in fact, because in these low-model count, low defense scenarios you can really see some lucky (and unlucky) die runs. But the uncertainty makes it more fun, right?
