I took a break from my (old) Return of the King run-through to try the newer Gondor at War version of the Pyre of Denethor. Drop on by if you might be interested:

I'm glad you chose to do a battle report on this one because it was interesting to read and seemed like a fairly tense affair until the last turn or two. I also enjoyed the photography as well! I really appreciate how you break down the strategies that are going on in a particular scenario. The more games I play, the more importance I see in this so sharing these details makes it easier for us to know how good or bad a scenario might be. I'll be looking forward to your next report :)

Thanks, Kuribo! I intend to keep cranking these out as long as I can. GW seems recently to be on an absolute tear in creating new scenarios, so there will always be new scenarios left to try for the foreseeable future.

Great report DaveT. But don’t CG have the bodyguard rule and pass courage tests automatically? Lol

I enjoyed reading this very much and thought it a great walk through of the scenario. I liked reading the turn by turn play through. I’ve enjoyed all your games. :)

Thanks for doing the comparison between the two scenarios. Nicely done on improving the torch, making the pyre bigger and adding a fallen figure.

Thanks, guys! It's always nice to know when folks enjoy the write-ups.

>don’t CG have the bodyguard rule

I forgot about that. Guess my spell analysis was wrong for multiple reasons! :o
