For Gondor!
This months battle saw Rick using his new battle mat, decorated with the Gondor houses he made for me a few years ago. He fielded a Gondor army, led by mounted Boromir while I had a Mordor (Morannon army) with Gothmog and a Troll Chieftain.

Great models and battlefield, although it certainly seemed like it was a bit of a slaughter.

He used blue foam, they are lovely and ideal Gondor buildings!

Nice models, nice terrain, nice armies :)
The only negative point was some pictures a bit blurry ;)

At how many points were you playing?

Certainly a lovely layout. Always nice to see what you and your mates are up to. Poor Gondor, I guess they do better behind stone walls.

There are a couple ways to make houses like this. One way is to use Hirst arts blocks. Mapper, Oldman Willow and I use them extensively. See our WIPs for photos. However, Leonardis did in fact make his with foam. For instructions specific to Gondor buildings, check out Battle Games in Middle Earth magazine, specifically #33, 42, 59. You should be able to find these issues quite cheaply on ebay.
