I've been painting Saruman recently.

While I'm somewhat satisfied with the effect, I can't shake the feeling the his robes came out too creamy. I used a grey seer undercoat followed by a seraphim sepia shade and pallid wych flesh edge highlight.

Does anyone have a better way of painting white robes? I'm looking for a simple formula - basecoat -> wash -> highlight.
