Well, i got my WoMT in the mail, and I looke dup a bunch of painting guides for them. However, whenever I do the black detailing wash, it ends up looking splotchy, and the second silver coat has spots of black everywhere except for where I want them. Does anyone have any advice?

Use oil paints and mineral spirits. Check out this link. http://www.missing-lynx.com/rare_world/rw04.htm If you don't want oils in your house, then apply a gloss or semigloss coat before the wash, so it'll flow better.

Also be careful when you are applying it. If you apply too much wash gravity will draw the wash out of the recesses where you want it and make a mess of your armour. Also, always leave several hours before and after you apply a wash. When in doubt, wait a little longer. It always works best when the surface is completely dry.
