I can now see the upload button, and when I get through to the first page all is good - however when I go to the second page I just get a blank field (i.e. nowhere to input any text etc) :|

Yep, its not working. Just checked with IE, FF and Opera and the same happens in all of them.

No idea whats going on... more stuff for Dag to fix I'm affraid. :?

Yea, I noticed that too. However if you check your Article Submissions the article should be there ;) What I must recommend though is not to try and re-enter it all to try and get it to work, as you'll have a dozen of the same article in your submissions page :P

I seem to be having a similar problem as John was, after I entered the information it took me to a blank screen. I did this twice before I noticed the Article Submissons button, I clicked this and there was the title of my article, along with a duplicae version. Both of them were set to Submit, even though I hadn't hit the submit button. What should I do at this point, now that I accidently have two articles, neither of them with any work as of yet? :oops:

Yes, there's a bug in there for some reason, though as far as I know, nothing was changed in there in a while.

Just edit one of the articles and leave the other. The staff can delete the wrong one.

Only Dag can sort the coding so we will have to wait until he has some time to fix it.

Any issues just PM someone from the staff.

Hey again,

Out of curiosity what is the code that we can use so that we can put lots of images side-by-side? Using the example of Bart's recent Tom Bombadil article, where he lined up each picture next to each other. What would I need to input so I can get the images in my article to look like that?

Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.

is to switch from normal layout to column layout

is for a column

So, if you want like 3 columns, it'll be like:

[split][col][aimg]picture 1[/aimg][/col][col][aimg]picture 2[/aimg][/col][col][aimg]picture 3[/aimg][/col][/split]


which will look like:

[split][col][aimg]picture 1[/aimg][/col][col][aimg]picture 2[/aimg][/col][col][aimg]picture 3[/aimg][/col][/split]

Hi,
So, I tried uploading one of my articles (on Making Rock Faces), but it seems these Submission Instructions are slightly outdated. Could this be correct?
Is it correct that there is now only 1 page on which the whole article has to be made? And that, like a forum post, the article main text should be posted in the "Message Body"?

I was especially experiencing trouble with the pictures. I supposed they had to be added like attachments, but when I add them to the article, the preview looked pretty ugly with all the attachment info. Is this how it's supposed to be done?

I could also add the pictures using imageshack, as I do when I post pics here on the forum.

Some help would be very much appreciated, as I'd like to share the article on here. :) Thanks in advance.

I did an article under the new system, and yes it's just like a post. You can only attach three pictures to a post, so that doesn't work anyways. You should use imageshack or photobucket like normal.
