Good stuff. Excited to see what people do with the terrain. Not super excited about the models. I hope they do some new Uruks!

Decent plastic Dunlendings might be nice.
Upscaled plastic Rohirrim would tempt me to buy yet another sprue of the fellows.

I love Nova--we always get the best previews.

Yes! Houses! Totally called it! I am 100% that girl who wishes that Edoras was still around to visit, like Hobbiton is. I'm not stoked for the Isengard models shown so far, they look too much like existing sculpts. I'm still confident there is a plastic Eomer coming, he is totally due for a dynamic new sculpt. I never liked how the original Rohan heroes used plastic horses. Erkenbrand is too heavy for a plastic horse anyway (mine has a metal one pilfered from a Haradrim, a great story in itself.)

Some of the other lines have some great stuff, too. I'd love to play Necromunda and get the Corvus Cabal, if only I had more cash.

I doubt we will get new Dunlendings, but they will certainly be rereleased with the wild men. If we do, I expect they will be similar to how the KoDA were handled.

Houses are great, really like Saruman and Grima (not so much the mounted version though).

Plastic Eomer seems would be my guess too and some made-to-order minis (helms deep perhaps?).

Really like the Rohan house. I bet they sell a few of those to historical wargamers too ... should work as a pretty good Saxon/Viking house if you play Saga or something like that.

I like how they painted the Eye of Sauron on Saruman's Palantir!

Would like Amon Hen as a future plastic scenery kit. I think it would be an interesting terrain piece for games (because you have stairs, platform to look out from) and if you designed it very cleverly you could maybe split up the columns/walls/stairs/seeing seat as modules so you could put multiple kits together in different ways.

That said, they are now releasing so many Middle Earth models at once (including the new plastics, made-to-order and Forge World resins) that will have to think carefully about which to get!

Amen to that. We are just starting to get the missing Scouring of the Shire models!

But I intend to pick up most of the new stuff anyway! :)

I've always wanted to paint Osgiliath (choking) Frodo in warm whites to be my invisible model. The new Bilbo is kind of cool.

If scenery like this became very popular it would be interesting how it affected tournament play. I've seen lots of boards with Osgiliath ruins and woods. Neither of these are very line-of-sight blocking, since the woods have gaps between trees and the Osgiliath ruins have so many windows it's hard to shelter much.

Now if you had a giant Rohan hut on the board, or these tall wooden fences, you can suddenly play quite differently as there are lots of places to hide.

But would anyone with that tower on their side of the board have a massive advantage if they can send some archers up ... could you ever get them? Would you need a tower on each board edge to be fair?
