Could anyone here tell me what exactly is in this new book, because I think I'm mixing some things up a bit.

A) Does it contain profiles of the released Iron Hills miniatures?
B) Does it contain profiles of 'to be released' miniatures?
C) Does it contain updated rules of the game itself?
D) Does it merge existing models like Eomer and Eomer Knight o.t. Pelennor?
E) Does it only contain Hobbit stuff or also LOTR?

I'm not interested in pictures or anything, because that wouldn't be fair (nor legal). But I'd just like to know what I can expect if I'd buy it, since I'm not sure yet if it's worth the money right now.

A) Yes
B) Yes
C) No
D) No
E) Only Hobbit

It replaces the previous Desolation of Smaug and The Battle Of The Five Armies supplements.

It contains scenarios, profiles and army lists from the second two Hobbit films. Think of it as a companion book to the Hobbit rules manual. It doesn't contain any new core game rules.

@farmer maggot

E: is not completely true. The new book updates the Profile of the Necromancer and replaces the one in the Mordor sourcebook. So a lotr profile is updated and will be used in both Mordor and Dol Guldur armies as he is represented in the TABA book.

Well spotted I'd forgotten the Necromancer profile also replaces the one from the Mormon book.

Can I still reserve a copy of the new book, even though it is sold out? Also, is it on the GW site or on FW?

It's on the GW site, it will be restocked so you can click the email me button to be notified when it is available again.

I'm really interested in seeing how they compare in size to man sized good models.

From what I remember of seeing them at the events they were previewed at, they are about the same size as Azog & Bolg

And how big are they? Sorry, I've never seen them in person.

Very nice! The models look very nicely detailed. I just don't really like their design though, but that's not GW/Forgeworld's fault.

Also nice to see they all have 3 weapon variations and 2 have interchangeable heads!

I'm a bit disapointed that not all 3 heads were interchangable as this means that I will have 4 completely identical bodies unless i do headswaps myself. But you can't get everything you want :D

So guys is the new rulebook up for a digital download?
I don't want the physical copy, I am a pdf tablet guy. I think no but why is it taking so long? :(

We've not had any news of a digital release for any of the Middle-earth range, so it doesn't seem likely in the short term at least.

Those beserkers look so nice, definitely my favourites so far - going to have to resist getting them for the time being though until I've painted the rest of my collection!

To use the new book, do I need to have the other rulebook for the Hobbit SBG? Or will this new book contain all of the profiles? From what I understand from the sight, it only contains new and revised profiles.

You need the core SBG rulebook, though I believe some profiles have been updated.

There was also talk of a future mega rulebook, but that's away in the future, somewhere.

There and Back Again does not alter or indeed contain the core rules to play the game, as found in the Unexpected Journey book. It completely replaces Desolation of Smaug and Battle of the Five Armies, with revised profiles and a host of changed and new scenarios.

I don't really need the rules, I've got the mini rulebook for that. I was more interested in the profiles. So, if i'm understanding you guys correctly, the Unexpected Journey is the one that contains all of the profiles, and There and Back Again contains revised and new profiles?
