I was very excited at the news that they even intend to pick it up, as at some point I almost completely given up on hoping to see any of these minis to be finished.

If FW gets a license and goes for it, I am optimistic about them also releasing Armoured Azog (options with mace or a rock on a chain), Shades (which I heard have been confirmed, but again - just in case), more weapon options for the Iron Hill Dwarfs (like in the concept art), perhaps more weapon variations for gundabad orcs as well and for berserkers (at least introduce it in the profile, so that ppl can model them in different ways if they wish) and of course - all these different trolls and/or ogres that we saw fighting in the ruins of Dale and on the Ice chase extended scene, when Bofur takes control of that "flail troll" and rams into the other cool looking troll. Speaking of which, the dwarf ram riders and a ram chariot are also something I would love to see.

And I am with many people here regarding the prices, hope they wont go overboard with it.

It seems that the ballista is being sold for £50 at Ardacon.

The only new releases I've seen are on the GW website (There and Back Again rulebook, and Goblin Town multipack terrain). Doesn't look like there are any forgeworld releases this week.

Some of the recent news made me really sad. GW is well known for not being pocket friendly and never makes any deal, even for black friday. Wasn't it outrageous today that was the day they chose for the preorder release? "well that's marketing buddy, people buy things today" but how can this be customer-friendly for skeptical people?

Nevermind, the other thing that made me sad was the black friday offer for the supposed "from the fans to the fans" magazine. I will not judge it here because I know the support they get around, I actually like what they do, but in this occasion, making money from pockets of worldwide customers in such a way is not fair in my opinion. Because not all of the countries have the economical development that Great Britain has. Keep in mind the words "supposed" and "worldwide" in this paragraph.

On the pre-order page of the new rule book, a sample page for the scenario 'Lakr-town Chase', participants in the scenario include Bain, son of Bard and Braga, Captain of the Guard. I don't know why particularly, but I've been very excited for a Bain release for some time.

Looking at that scenario, I wish GW would look at how they sell their figures when they design their scenarios. They have 12 Lake-Town guards (4 each sword, spear and bow) - too bad they sell those figures in sets of 3. Or I could think positive and hope that they reissue them as a box of 12.

I know, very frustrating and I would say unfair actually. Probably holds back sales that they could be making otherwise.

This is something GW acknowledged and changed a while back when they did the journeybooks for LotR. The sourcebooks before then had frustrating numbers, the journeybooks made sure they lined up with blisters/boxsets.

It would be a shame if they have forgotten their own lesson there.

Although some blisters of 3 were repacked as boxed sets of 4 when they switched from metal to resin - maybe they are planning to do that as standard?

This is absolutely intentional. The number gap.

When should I expect the book to be delivered. Most places dispatch the day before in order to arrive on the day. For some reason, I get the impression that Games Worlshop won't do this.

Preorders are dispatched before release. So at or just after the weekend. If you ordered for store pickup it will arrive before the release date so you can pickup on release.

Laketown Houses are available on pre-order!
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NL/Lake-Town-House

Or available as 3 houses with some discount:

Now, I gotta say these look gorgeous! Probably the most beautiful Middle-earth terrain I've seen from GW. The details look stunning, the set is versatile and it's close to the movie portrayal. On top of that, it is also close to my vision of Laketown from the book (which is hardly relevant to anyone except me :P ).
Also, the price is not unreasonable I think, compared to other terrain manufacturers.
