Does anybody know if Beregond or the old Thranduil model will be back?

I'm pretty sure both Beregond and Denethor will be back eventually. We don’t know when though or if they will be re-releases or new sculpts.

All characters should be available at some point - and given the relatively popularity of these (very useful in game terms), I wouldn't expect it to take too long.
Denethor hopefully will be the old sculpt, for Beregond a foot + mounted pack could be interesting, although I don't think they'll focus on producing new LotR-era figures yet.

Have we heard anything concrete about re-releases (other than a few boxes of defenders at Ardacon etc) or did I miss it ?

Surely GW must realise a simple statement saying this is our proposed re-release schedule would be mean a lot to the customer base ?

Would be nice, wouldn't it, but they seem to enjoy having an air of mystery around their release schedule :)

What we know so far is that the new book and Laketown scenery will be on pre-order the last weekend of November and the new Gundabad models at some point in December. They have previously said they are focusing on the new stuff, with releases most months and the re-releases will be on months they have nothing new to bring out.
We don't, however, have any specifics on what order things will be re-released, although I would assume that will be dictated by what models they still have the moulds or masters for.

The Defenders of Rohan box and the Fate of the Witch King diorama set have been re-released (they were released back at the Doubles at Warhammer World in September) but they are Warhammer World exclusives, with some making it down to Ardacon for sale at their stall there.
