Agree with the Sephalo.

Wouldn't mind some of the following:

Plastic Giant Bats
Plastic Lake Town Militia
Plastic Trolls (Hobbit Type)

Thranduil on Stag

Reproduced:
Dalmyr, Grimbold Command

Wishful thinking but I'd really like new Rohan and Minas Tirith horses.

Time to start writing up some emails. Happy days :D

Sounds great that we will get some support. I would doubt very much if we get any new plastics as they cost so much to produce they need to make sure they will sell in quantity. It would be good if they start selling some of the old plastic kits again.

Resin? I'm unfamiliar with forge world resin. I was hoping for plastics. How does forge world resin compare to gw finecast or whatever they call it now?

More durable and better quality control but still not perfect.

I've had better quality resin models than Forgeworld from small companies like Anvil Industry and Brother Vinni Miniatures.

I really want a BoFA starter set that includes 12 militia, 12 elves and 12 dwarves versus 24 orcs and a couple ogres. $150 would be pretty fair for that and would probably sell pretty well.

I do like the fact that they will continue the support. However, I am not sure if it really makes a difference. When everything goes to FW, the costs will be huge.
For example: I would really like to have Gandalf the Grey mounted. This AoS hero should be the same size as him: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-DE/Lietpold-the-Black he costs, including the 15% shipping costs to Germany, 42€. Gandalf on ebay (in metal and not in resin) costs more or less the same. The problems are the silly way, FW calculates the shipping costs and the high price.

Agree. FW prices are way too high for me. I looked at their site yesterday and really got myself in a depressed mood after seeing the prices. (They ask 33 pounds for 3 resin 28mm dwarves!)
But still, this is better than nothing.

For now I'm just curious to see what they're going to produce.

I've always liked the detail level on the Hobbit FC stuff - the detail on FW stuff looks amazing!

As a collector, I'm looking forward to what appears from the new studio.

Cost wise, maybe I'd feel different if I was buying an army's worth.

I do think that it is better to still buy the things you really want to have instead of waiting for FW. I also don´t understand why the shipping costs are linked to the price of the product instead of being linked to the size and weight :?

I am a big fan of FW stuff. It's so much 'sturdier' than FC and feels similar to the plastic, but with better detail. In some ways, it's the best of both worlds (although metal is my favourite). Prices are always a bit of a concern, but I for one cannot wait! Better get saving!

Probably for insuring the delivery.

Can someone change the title of this thread to fix the spelling error? It's really bugging me :)

I'm pretty excited about this. I always wished I'd got into the LotR game when it was bigger. Glad I didn't completely miss my chance.

Will we see panic selling as "investors" start dumping all those "very rare" minis they have been hoarding, in anticipation of GW possibly reissuing items ?

I doubt it. The metals will retain there value even after the new resins come out just like how it went with finecast. They might be able to increase the asking price down the line if the new castings are as expensive as some fear.

We can also announce that Games Workshop’s newly appointed Middle-earth team will be showcasing their projects at Warhammer Fest.

AND you'll get First Access to formerly out-of- production products like all five The Lord of The Rings TM Sourcebooks and several absent Citadel miniatures! We're revealing more soon...
