Yes, and I was surprised not to see it in the film at the cinema as a result! I was not sure if it was a dishevelled Thrain or the Necromancer? However the close up stills appear to show a dwarf, particularly enforced by the geometric design on his clothing. http://thorinoakenshield.net/2011/12/22 ... vs-thrain/

I'm really hoping that if the Azog kit is going to be around the $100AUS mark, it will be a boxed kit with a mounted version and a foot version of both Azog and the white warg along with both options of arms.

That way the foot version can beused for the battle of Moria and the mounted for the current Hobbit era. That would also be the only way they could justify charging that much by current price standards of course. Really you should never be paying more than $50AUS for this kit even with all those extras but such is life.

Fingers crossed it does have all that stuff in it!

I believe GW Australia are now only accepting deeds to houses or first born children. No more cash sales.

But yes the Azog kit will be something

I've just about stopped buying from Games Workshop in Aus altogether. Mainly ebay work these days. The Aus prices are beyong a joke. Like many others if the hobbit plastic kits were $30-$35 rather than $55 I would've probably ended up buying multiple boxes. But no use crying over spilt milk whats done is done.

I'm still loving most of the hobbit releases the quality is awesome for mine Thror and Thrain are amongst the best lotr/hobbit minis of all time. And I really do hope Azog lives up to the hype I love his design albeit poorly done with the movie cgi. For me he is THE orc of lotr/hobbit. What a villain.

I'm from Melbourne. It's a shame that so many like yourself have stopped buying altogether because there is some fantastic minis available. The Hobbits releases so far are better quality than the fellowship ones the same of which can't be said for the movie haha.

Mirkwood will be a very interesting one. There could be a chance of them being released before the second movie the way things have gone with Dale being released and all. I'm almost expecting to see armoured versions from the prologue and Thanduril on elk. We may have to wait for the unarmoured forest versions though.

Really, this isn't the place for that kind of discussion.

As for Azog, I genuinely hope it comes with him on foot, him on the WW and the WW on his own. I would hate to have to buy some other set just to make the White Warg on his own. I don't really care either way about the arms though.

Mounted lindir, tauriel and a new legolas. Judging by the Lego sets and other action figures, I'd say they are almost imminent.

I would like to have some more Evil looking non subterranean scenery, and it6 would be great to have some Dol Guldur plastic kits. Or even the Weather top manufactured for the store released.

I have laid off buying the present Lindir in the expectation that a later better equipped version will be released.

I'd say they'll release at least two seperate Azogs. One with the old arm one with the new, rather than an option of swapping arms. But I'm a cynic.

I suspect that you are right, but I wouldn't mind if they had separate special rules, particularly if the older Azog had some sort of Driving Hatred etc, etc.

Well I won't apologise for digging up an old post, rather than starting a new thread, what's the speculation for August releases? The young dwarfs were certainly a surprise, may be more of those?

No worries mate (that sounds a bit Australian!...Not that theres anything wrong with that!...?)

I would really like to see some of Azogs mount Gundabad guards from the battle of Azunilbizar, Rivendell guards with pikes, a twilight Witch King, Dol Guldur Giant bats, Giant Spiders, Azunilbizar Azog, Dwarves with heavy armour pikes and shields, Goblin town goblins with bows (who seem to be able to fire them whilst charging from the movie), and the goblin torture racks (Squaker and whatever the other one was?). Oh, and for anyonewho is interested, Dwarf Women with wispy beards!
