I don't understand why anyone would consider using a GW-branded super glue, when cheaper and better alternatives are readily available from supermarkets. Same goes for plastic cement - Testors, Revell, and Humbrol all make excellent glues at a much lower price and are readily available from anywhere that sells plastic kits.

Because for people like me, this hobby is the only time I'll use such glues, I can get it conveniently when I pick up other supplies, and the cost difference isn't worth the time it takes to go elsewhere.

Indeed, its all about convenience ;) I also do a lot of hobby in the store, where we have to use GW glue. The new thin plastic glue is actually pretty good! I think it might be stronger than the cheaper Humbrol I use at home!

In addition to kidterminal's suggestion, the bottle design is suspiciously similar to Revell's own plastic cement: http://www.wargamestore.com/images/T/39604.jpg

Nothing new under the sun I guess, especially in GW's case :p

I personally use Gorilla Glue Super Glue. The stuff is really strong on both metal and plastic.

I bought the new plastic glue because I figured it's the same as the Revell stuff I normally buy but with the advantage of a container that will stand on its end as well as its side. Unfortunately the nozzle came pre-blocked and I haven't been able to clear it. A++ would buy again

Wait a minute, you were unable to use it and so you will buy it again?
