@Hodush. The cheapest place for Polyfilla I've found is Bunnings. Make sure you get the red labelled version for "Large Cracks" - there are a few varieties available, but that one is the most versatile for this hobby. @OMW - I would send some to you if the shipping costs weren't so prohibi...

I was also in on that Kickstarter :) Bolt Action is as good a ruleset as you'll find out there. But I find it has it's limitations from a tactical point of view - it doesn't reward accurate infantry tactics terribly well. But, and this is important, it's fun to play. There are other top notch games ...

I should own shares in the company that makes Polyfilla. I use it a lot and never fail to be pleased with its finish, whether it be for roads, walls, earth, rock or sand. I bought some Hirst Arts moulds ages ago but never use them. They are exceptional quality and will last you for years, but I don'...

Proof pic - blurred, sorry.

Note, the guy on the left of the picture has been undercoated. Note also that I will be basing these chaps on 30mm Dark Age bases for use in my D&D campaigns.

Awesome dude! You rock.

Postage support payments are on the way.

This is like having a kick around with your mates and Pele walks onto the pitch !!! What an awesome thing to say. Thank you! Here's my proof pic. http://www.one-ring.co.uk/alan/dc2014_proof_image.jpg I went through my unpainted LOTR mini drawer and this blister caught my attention. Galadriel's pose...

Ok, I'm in.

No idea what it will include, but this is such a good idea that I can't resist. I'm just thankful DurinsBane isn't entering.

When I said unpainted, I didn't necessarily mean completed. I have two half painted cave trolls and a nearly-finished Balrog that are gathering dust.

I just looked through my LOTR backlog and was surprised to find no unpainted monsters. Not even a troll.

I might take a trip out to my FLGS tomorrow and see what's in their 2nd-hand cabinet.

GW need to adapt their products to suit the market place, and this seems to be a reasonable attempt to keep their products relevant. I hope it's a success for them and is popular amongst their customers. It's not a magazine I buy any more (since the days of Paul Sawyer), so I will be interested in h...

Cutting circles in Balsa is always a problem. For smaller holes (e.g. Hobbits' windows) I start by finding a tube of brass of the right diameter at my local hobby store. Then I sharpen one end of the tube with a file. On a flat surface, carefully position the sharpened tube on the balsa wood and, ap...

I use P3 paints these days for my metallics. I still have some old Citadel paints but they are gradually diminishing and will run out one day. I had a mild panic attack a week ago when I thought my last pot of Chestnut Ink had run out, but I'd picked up an old empty one I use for mixing by mistake.

I looked into obtaining a licence for an SBG from HBO Global Licencing. It's do-able, but it needs a company with a track record behind it, which I don't have (currently). I know a number of sculptors as well as an excellent caster and mould maker. Plus a good friend is the author of a popular skirm...
