I always reckoned we should have seen more of the Easterlings in the LotR films - they look tough and sinister.

For me it is not just the profile (the gaming side); some models were not as good in the sculpting department as others. I like plastics for rank and file so there has to be a modest concession there on fine detail. Models I don't like: mostly the concocted minis that were never onscreen - I cannot ...

Dusts off The sambuca. I will try to be good and I will appear hereabouts as often as circumstances allow (there is a lot going on in my world at the moment and like Gandalf, I would need the ability to be in about 3 places simultaneously). I am probably like the silly 10th Ringwraith, the one all t...

Stargate and Stargate Atlantis were 2 of my favorite tv shows (O'Neill and Rodney McKay stand out for laughs and satire). Beautiful minis.

Crazy prices. Is one 28mm mini really worth even £80 regardless of rarity? (unless it is cast in gold)

I liked the portrayal of the Nazgul at Dol Guldur.
I also happened to like seeing Saruman and Elrond beating the Hell out of them :)
Nice to see Christopher Lee playing Saruman in a more heroic manner.
Gone but never forgotten.

There has been a degree of Radio Silence here and on my Facebook page for a few weeks due to other obligations. I have been rereading 'Phantom Ships, Ghost Flotilla' at night and I have spotted several typos (damn and blast.) What were to become the second and third parts of that story arc are on an...
