Question: I find when glueing some sand to the table, that it actually looks the way I want it to before I remove the excess. I lay down some glue, and pour on some sand, knowing I'll be removing most of the sand (which does not stick) revealing what has stuck underneath. Is there a way of making a...

Lord of the Brown ring. You are really trying to spin this in the most negative angle as possible. I would be far harsher but I agreed some time ago not to bash GW in this forum. This is supposed to be a news post. I don't like the prices, the material, the paint pots or GW or Forgeworld service. I ...

Thanks for the nice comments. I have been working on Tables for the new game store. I have to trim ten tables tomorrow. Nothing ever goes to plain. My table saw wore out in the middle of building a new taper Jig.The ironic thing is that none of the old jigs will work with the new table saw. I finish...

Expanding foam is not a bad idea. It is difficult to control.I have never tied to texture it with a rock.

Nice progress. Good job using the rock, I've also seen a blogger use a piece of coral to roll over his board to add more texture. I have some pumice, cracked quartzite and broken bricks that work well. I have tried to find some rocks shapes that will work like rollers. The rolling technique has a lo...

I have hesitant to build the new thinner molds from Hirst Arts - have you had any problems with it? You will need a top quality material.I have had good luck with Hydrostone. I cast a few thin until I got used to it. Hydrostone is very strong and hard cast even thin. http://i980.photobucket.com/alb...

I was trapped in the diorama mode and forgot this is going to be gaming terrain. I decided to use the 4 bot windows instead of scratch built details no one can see. I also needed to leave room for bases on the model. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae283/CRTraylor3499/Hobbit%20mill/IMG_0882.jpg 1...

I have been side tracked painting orc villagers for a role playing game. I found some more teddybear fur at JoAnn's Fabric.

Maybe he has been drinking ent draught. :-) :) I cut a 1/2 inch off of the end parts and the walls. I will need to redo the details. I am going to use the new stone pattern instead of the larger field stone. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae283/CRTraylor3499/Bagend/IMG_0863.jpg The stone wall e...
