Since when have you used ANY GW models? Seriously, I've never seen you say that you were interested in any LotR models made more recently than 1989.

We have to remember that GW is still taking a huge risk with the Middle-Earth line right now. The fact t that they're remaking stuff at all is good enough for me.

Well, he didn't ask for facts, but I guess I did present my opinions as facts. However, there is nothing outside of Arda save for Eru, Morgoth and the Void, so it really wouldn't be a blessing to die if you just hung out in the void. Putting 2 and 2 together and getting 4 isn't the craziest thing in...

And you completely ignore the personal views of the author. Tolkien didn't like purposefully including allegory in his writing like CS Lewis did, but he also said (to Lewis) that any beliefs he had would show themselves in his writing, because he would unconsciously be influenced by his own beliefs....

Well, it is known that they leave Arda, which leaves 3 options. 1. They stop existing altogether. 2. They get consumed by Morgoth. 3. They join Illuvitar. Since death was called the "Gift of Man", and since Tolkien was Catholic, it would have to be number 3, with some of 2 mixed in for the...

Only Elrond and his children, as Half Elven, could choose mortality. Elrond's brother Elros chose mortality and became the first King of Numenor, so he was Aragorns ancestor. When you die in Middle-earth, you go to the Halls of Mandos, which is purgatory. Once your time is up, you go to one of sever...

Well, Tolkien did write it as an alternate history of Europe, so yes, it would be unbelievable and make a difference for Aragorn or Boromir to be black. This isn't a story set in modern times when people of all ethnic backgrounds mix together, this is set in an alternate version of Europe that just ...

The Valor are also not a Pantheon. They most closely resemble the Biblical Arch Angels. 14 beings who struggle against the chief of their order who has seduced other beings to his side. All of whom were created by one all powerful creator. That is literally the Judeo-Christian view of heavenly beings.

The events of the Silmarillion are definitely not common knowledge. Very few men (just the remaining Numenorians), the elves and the Wizards know what happened and who Sauron really is. If Satan set up an actual empire, it would take a single generation for his people to no longer know anything but ...

That's entirely false. Not all the "evil" men followed Sauron of their own free will. Many were enslaved, Tolkien even made a point of saying that they probably didn't even want to fight in the first place and mentioned that the Blue Wizards did something that crippled Sauron's might, like...

That would be like looking at a European history book and wondering why the only villains in the middle ages were Arabs. That's just how it as back then, but even BillFerny and the Dunlendings were white. Middle-earth is supposed to be middle ages Europe. It wouldn't make any sense for there to be b...

They confirmed that she died fighting Angmar, which in the books at least didn't have any dragon allies.

I agree if they are unique models, but at this point it's way too early to complain about this.

I fail to see what's wrong with event only models. Did you miss that the event only models are likely to just be reposes? If you already have 3 Gandalfs, you know just how useless it is to have multiple posts of a single character.

I don't see how you can call the acting bad, and then say the acting was the saving grace. If the CGI was bad, I would agree that it was a detriment, but the CG was incredible so I fail to see how that is a negative, especially when other movies (like Episode 7 and Avatar) were filled to the brim wi...

They didn't stink. They just weren't as good as LotR because obviously the Hobbit could NEVER be better than LotR.

I just got 9 of the new Mirkwood elves and 2 of the new Mirkwood cav. And for the price I essentially got the Cav and 1guy for free, which is nice considering neither cav had sword arms. I've never used greenstuff before, but the arms I made look okay, so I'm pleased with the purchase. Now just wait...

As an American, I would like to take this time to wish y'all across the pond a happy 4th of July. I know a lot of stuff is going on in England right now, but I just want to let y'all know that most Americans are with you no matter what. Here's to another 240 years of being allies.

Have you ever played with more than 100 models? I have and it is a nightmare. We're talking hour long turns, ten hour games. Have you ever tried a 2000 point battle? If not, you maybe should try it before you say it becomes the norm. The game is meant to represent a scaled down version of a battle. ...

I'm the real world, you do NOT have high ranking military leaders leading thousands of men. You have a chain of command where the general tells his colonels what to tell their captains what to tell their lieutenants what to tell their sergeants what to tell their troops what to do. It is impractical...
