Doesn't really matter though, since every model, including pikemen, have a hand weapon, unless the profile specifically says they're unarmed (and there are no pikemen so hindered). |

I think they look great on the board, but they're not that competitive. Both my son and I tried it and they're easy to shoot and don't win fights. If you could field multiple Druzhags mounted they might do better...but you can only field one, and he walks slow. If you paired your army with an equal ... |

Have to agree there, ferals just don't do it for me. Something about the big white hand with blood splatters is far more fun to paint and look at on the table. |

No, he has to kill the model he's fighting for the heroic fight to kick in. |

I agree, I would probably use orcs with bows as trackers as well. Especially after the changes in the Hobbit rulebook brought additional damage to shooting. What changes are those? Your shoot value goes up if you move, so a shoot of 5 becomes 6...pretty useless, but with goblins there are so many i... |

...if the good player has priority does he have no other option than to resolve in the easiest way? He can resolve it any way he wants, so long as all fights are 1:X Essentially, does the counter charge by the orcs take the Gondor player's advantage [of charging cavalry into the Wraiths] away? The ... |

Fights are only ever 1 vs X, where X is any number from 1+. So Boromir can certainly charge both Nazgul, but once the Knights have charged he'll probably be assigned to one Nazgul or the other, not both...except the Orcs change that again. The Boromir player doesn't get to pick either (necessarily),... |

Just MHO, but pure Galadhrim suffer from having equipment that you have to pay for but often does nothing. D4 is a poor spot because evil has lots of S4 warriors, and it's no improvement against evil shooting which is either S2 or S4. Nothing really beats a WE spear for tactical flexibility. You can... |

Biggest deals are probably the shift to creating armies with "warbands", plus new deployment scenarios; plus some new rules from the new Hobbit book, specifically for monsters (very welcome changes) and new heroic actions (very nifty options). Warbands require a hero + up-to-twelve warrior... |

I'd field Ugluk because I like the pose and flavour :) But now that the orc sandwich doesn't work (pikes can't back spears) he's lost some value for sure, and doesn't bring as much to the table as the others. Killing an uruk to get standfast feels is more self-damage than killing an orc. I know the ... |

Or Druzhag... I find bats very useful when enraged, moreso than Wargs or even the Warg chief. |

I like that a lot. Rumil backed by pikes can take on anything, and the eagles should be fun (though I'm still building mine, so no practical experience yet). |

I like these official pics better than the leaked, Especially the gundabad captain he's first on my list now Have to say I really do like those Gundabad models, much better than Morannons, and they are functionally equivalent. Definitely worth a warband. Glad they reduced the pike to spear for them... |
