I agree though. Sadly not everyone can have all that terrain. :( B-b-but...it's so easy. I am probably the least crafty person I know, and I made these over the course of a weekend, except for painting the pond. They do the job (though I don't really like the big flat one, it was my first effort): ... |

It seems odd to me that they keep nerfing shooting and making "the bash" all the more important. A giant clash of lines isn't as fun as flanking and outmaneuvering, but these days with bows so pitiful there isn't much choice. I agree, but I don't think it's a problem with the rules, I thi... |

If you're creating a siege game, and the gate is the only way in, you're in for a boring grind of a game. A siege works better if you have multiple objectives, and/or timed events that change things up. There are other players who post here who do these regularly, hopefully they'll chime in. I've on... |

I find it kind of weird that the direction doesn't mean anything for spears and pikes. Charging a pike wall in the side is suicide, then... Not very thematic or realistic. Ah well... How so? A model can only be in one fight, and a model can only support one fight in a combat turn. If you charge a p... |

Yep, imagined
Spears and pikes do not have a bonus against cavalry, it's just that spears and pikes allow support, which is a bonus all its own.
And directionality doesn't mean anything. |

Since you don't have the rules you probably aren't aware of this, but: Lots of spells can be channelled now, but the rules are that you have to spend the Might before you cast...so you could lose both Will and Might if you fail. Also, Fury is now changed to be to "exhaustion", so when you'... |

It's pretty crippling for him not to have it from a game balance point of view. At most I'd say he can regain it after one session without. |

He's the same cost as Eomer fully kitted, but much more effective, so he probably needs to be another 10 points at least, but the rules are good, and the 2 points for the S upgrade seems reasonable. |

My exact thought...plus, there are so few numbers, skip the banner and get more troops. |

Basically, take Boromir, Denethor and Beregond with as many troops as you can. 1 warband of rangers and 2 of normal warriors with shields/spears and shields. This is definitely a good starting list, decent to learn with, and relatively cheap to build since the warriors are all plastic. You can alwa... |

Ok first off Knife, Im talking this mostly for Rigg but you can read if you want. Just kind of a counter point to his army but mentioning what you said.....anyway... I don't see the need to attack me on the whole your talking to him thing. We're all trying to help and I was offering an idea that he... |

That's just...not right. But it's GW's call I guess. |

No, they are in separate lists. That has nothing to do with whether they are "Gondor". |

Thanks all, I don't think I'll be doing the magnet thing, but if I can refrain from gluing I will. I guess the main answer to my question is "don't glue first" |

Gondor would be both lists, I'd expect that officially too. Minas Tirith is only a part of Gondor, just like Fiefdoms. |

The only problem there is you end up with a very low model count, though I'm sure it would still be fun. Gildor and some Noldorin exiles is a great idea thematically, and should work well if you're prepared to learn how to use what are effectively wood elves |

Of course you can do what you want in your home games, but they have been removed from the rules intentionally because they detract from the skirmish nature of the game. |

Well, after almost a year of no modelling, painting, etc I decided to start up again. I'm going to make an Eagle army with Gwaihir and 4 eagles. One thing I messed up on the plastic Wraith+Fell Beast was the top knob on the stand snapped off. I ended up shoving the whole thing through the hole, with... |

GC = Grey Company, always has been :) GC isn't quite the powerhouse it used to be. It went from "no fun for anybody" to "nerfed". I can only suggest allies...Elves, Gondor, etc. If you have enough points, then Eagles become viable, but you pretty much have to take Gwaihir first. |
