An easy one, when Bilbo says Frodo isn't a "block headed Bracegirdle from Hardbottle" which of his other relations is he insulting?

Uruk-hai had broad swords, orcs usually had crude scimitars.

If the scenario forces you to set up close enough, you're in business. I would love to face a hoard that big with a Mumak. I'd either die spectacularly or kill like 20 a turn. Either way it would be awesome.

An army of 100 ruffians would get curb-stomped by monsters. A few trolls and some throwing would destroy large chunks of the ruffian army. Or a mumak.

I think the most important thing to remember is that these are temporary rules to see what we think about them. I think all of them are at the least a good start. Particularly the Army of the Dead rules.

Here we go, the stupid "freedom of speech means I can bash GW on this here website" argument. Freedom of speech boils down to the government can't restrict your speech. In case you didn't know, this website is not the government.

Unless the source is "Lady Atia" it's probably not true. She has yet to be wrong though, to the best of my knowledge.

On a side note, I'd like to say I'm a bit tired of opening this thread to essays on price complaints again and again instead of opinions on the models themselves or even ideas for proxies. Can that go elsewhere? :-D found the person who can afford forgeworld prices. Doubt your opinion will keep whe...

Well, all the talk about the Nazgul in this issue went out the window considering we have new profiles for them. I'm not complaining or anything, I just found it funny.

It's kind of funny just how much of this magazine was invalidated by the TABA book.

In the movies the wraiths were imprisoned after they were defeated in Arnor. So they can still make a movie about it. But they can't make a movie about them taking Minas Morgul afterwards.

If you need more mobility and a bit more combat, the old version is really good, but the new version of Saruman is incredibly powerful. His reroll and extra range on his spells is kind of absurd. He's definitely worth it.

If they did it this way I hope its faq'd. All its going to do is motivate power gaming or army mixing. I fail to see how removing the option to have a more optimal setup is going to encourage power gaming. I also fail to see how army mixing is a bad thing, as you gain the options that allies offer,...

The elk fits perfectly and the goats work pretty well too, in my opinion. The only one I don't like is Dain's pig. I wish they had gone with the wild boar like they originally wanted. That would have looked awesome. In a world with giant spider, mumak, warg riders and great and fell beasts, goat rid...
