Like most people, it seems, I was just browsing for a LotR forum to discuss the hobby, and came across this site. :)

Pretty solid, althought I'd "downgrade" one, or possibly even two, of your Heroes in order to fit in some more models.

i love to paint so the most detailed one would be good The detail on all plastic evil models is of a similar standard, except Moria goblins, which is quite poor. I do want a good one for a game and considering the most common army i would be fighting will be elves so it would be good if i can defea...

Yes, better rules and better models; their models are considerably smaller than Warriors of Minas Tirith.

In a word. Nope. It sucks. No might or fate points? I'd rather take a flying def 9 dragon for 50pts less. Yeah, the Balrog is completely useless. Even if your opponent is an idiot, you'd be better off with Glorfindel, Boromir, etc. In fact, I'd rather take either of those two instead of a Balrog wi...

I think "Marquis" is the French word, and "Marquess" the English.

This is just an idea, how about a rank system based on English nobility, like this:

1) Gentleman
2) Esquire
3) Knight
4) Baronet
5) Baron
6) Viscount
7) Earl
8) Marquess
9) Viceroy
10) Duke
11) Archduke
12) Prince
13) Monarch
14) Emperor

Don't expect your Warriors of Minas Tirith to kill many enemy models in combat; their role is too defensive. It is the Heroes in a Gondor army who need to deal the damage in combat. Also, make sure you field as many bows as possible and use them accordingly.

Nice theme. From a competitive perspective, the major recommendation I would make would be to drop Elrond; he's just too expensive.

For a monster army I would alway recommend a Ringwraith; the -1 Courage penalty combined with Terror really helps you select your fights.

. Instead of a fixed model count, each warband leader can take as many warriors as up to double his point value - - -> This way, a Gondor captain would allow you to take about 15 WoMT, you wouldn't be able to call in 12 Trolls because of 35pt goblin captains, and mighty leaders such as King Elessar...

Abrakan Guard (the fat ones) are hands down the best unit imho in the game lol. 8 points, F4 St4 with a 2H weapon that the dont get the -1 penalty but do get +1 to wound. Ok, they may only be D4 but when everyone deploys so close to each other they are usually in combat within 2-3 turns. Abrakan Gu...

Suladan is only half made-up. In the books Theoden confronts the Serpent Lord at Pelennor Fields, but there's no specific name.

There are rules for the chariot in the Fallen Realms sourcebook, the OOP Shadow in the East sourcebook, the Return of the King journeybook, and the hardcover One Ring rulebook.
